Needle Grama (Bouteloua aristidoides) is a native grass that grows in Southern California, primarily in the Peninsular Range, the Mojave Desert and Sonoran Desert regions. It tends to grow in dry and open rocky slopes and washes, at elevations from 0-5900 feet.
