Carex scirpoidea

Northern Singlespike Sedge (Carex scirpoidea) is a native grass that grows in Central California, primarily in the High Sierra Nevada region. It is moderately fast growing and long-lived. It grows in an upright form to a height of 1.5 feet, with active growth during the spring and summer. Flowers are green and bloom in the early summer. Leaves are medium green and deciduous. It tends to grow in moist rocky places, at elevations from 11500-12100 feet.
