Isocoma menziesii

Menzies’ Goldenbush (Isocoma menziesii) is a shrub that blooms when most other flowers are finished.  It flowers in summer and fall, with many thick clusters of yellow flowers standing upright from the stems. The erect branching stems are generally hairy, and vary in color from gray-green to reddish-brown. The leaves may also be hairy.  It grows at a moderate rate up to 3 feet  tall.

This is a tough accent plant that likes full sun and prefers well-draining sandy or rocky soil.

Numerous insects, including butterflies and moths, are attracted to it.
