Monardella odoratissima ssp. glauca

Monardella glauca is a species of flowering plant in the mint family known by the common name pale monardella. It is native to the western United States where it grows in many types of habitat. It is quite variable in appearance. In general, it is a perennial herb producing one or more greenish, grayish, or purplish stems which may be hairy to hairless, waxy, or bristly in texture. The oval leaves are oppositely arranged about the stem. The flower cluster is a head of several flowers blooming in a cup of purple-tinged leafs. The flowers are purple to reddish in color and one to two centimeters long.
