Trillium ovatum, the Pacific trillium, western trillium, western wakerobin, or western white trillium, is a member of the Melanthiaceae (False-Hellebore) family. It is native to the Pacific Northwest of North America, from British Columbia to California. It is found in moist slopes and canyon banks, often in mixed evergreen forests. The plant is a perennial herb and a geophyte, with white flowers that bloom in spring and winter. It is common under Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) near the California coast. Trillium ovatum spreads slowly via underground rhizomes.
