Little Leaf Huckleberry (Vaccinium scoparium) is a rare native shrub that grows in Northern California, primarily in the Klamath Mountain Range region. It is fast growing and moderately long-lived. It grows in an upright form to a height of 2 feet, with active growth during the spring and summer. Flowers are red and striking, and bloom in the early summer. Leaves are medium green and deciduous. It tends to grow in moist soils and woods, at elevations from 6000-7000 feet.
