Trifolium longipes

Long Stalked Clover (Trifolium longipes) is a native perennial herb that grows in Northern, Southern and Central California, primarily in the North Coast, the Klamath Mountain Range and North Coast Range regions. It is fast growing and short-lived. It grows in a flat form to a height of 0.5 feet, with active growth during the spring and summer. Flowers are purple and striking, and bloom in the spring. Leaves are medium green and deciduous. It tends to grow at elevations from 0-9800 feet.
